Fall 2022 Update

It’s finally Fall in the desert! For a brief period of time, the temperature is perfect and the atmosphere feels charged with the hope of cooler days. Like some periods in life, this Fall-ish season in the desert is fleeting and soon flits away. It seems like that has been our year so far. So much has happened and so many things are changing. Just like I wrote in my last update, the many new, exciting, and challenging events in our lives make so much pass in a blur.

We launched Sunday services at the beginning of July! After much prayer, thought, and encouragement from our ministry partners, we decided to start meeting on Sunday mornings this summer. We have been digging into scripture and working our way, chapter by chapter, through the Gospel of Luke. Jason hopes to share those messages on his blog and is looking for ways to launch a podcast with them as well.

With the switch to Sundays, we decided to continue with only one mid-week meeting. Tuesday Tea finished its season on a good note and our Wednesday Wanderings continue strong. We saw one major answer to prayer this year and now enjoy live worship at our Wednesday gatherings. God has been wooing us with such sweet, gentle melodies as we gather in pursuit of His presence with us.

Catherine and Jason continue to minister in one-on-one settings. We look forward to continuing to minister and disciple others in these kinds of intimate settings and find joy in the deep connections we are privileged to share with others. We continue to tend the seeds sown in this season with the hope of a harvest glorifying God! If you are interested in connecting with us individually, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Anderson Family News

What a summer it was as we prepared for a wedding! Earlier this month, Erin and Samuel were united together in marriage. We are incredibly proud of these two as we have watched them grow in their relationship with God and with each other! Jason had the privilege of officiating, and we are so thankful to see all this hard work come to fruition. We are so blessed to welcome Erin to our family and see them embark on the next season of their lives together. Congratulations to the newest Mr. and Mrs. Anderson!

As you remember, Catherine began intensive infusion therapy in March. Unfortunately, these treatments were not effective to help strengthen or improve her fragile health. We decided to stop treatment after following the plan for 5 months and meeting with the doctor. Catherine was such a fighter and had such a great attitude during the whole ordeal despite feeling worse with each successive treatment. We continue to meet with doctors and are contending for answers and healing. Please continue to pray with us!

Christian continues school full-time and was recognized for academic excellence and invited to join the National Honor Society! Charis moved out last month to share a house with Samuel and Erin. She is still working full-time as an elder-care technician and is looking for a position with health and education benefits.
