Fall 2021 Update

We only notice the changing of the seasons here in Tucson as we see the colors and smells of pumpkin spice come out in the coffeehouses and stores all around town. Let me tell you, we may not have much of a fall in the desert, but it has been an exciting summer as we’ve started this journey into independent ministry! We are so excited to be partnering with Catherine’s brother and sister, Chris and Tiffany Nesbitt, and all the other NewSong micro-church leaders as we get started here in Tucson.

Tuesday Tea & Company has been a blast! A dozen people regularly come for tea each week and invite friends, family, and neighbors. We’ve had the privilege to lay a table for as many as 20 people one week! It’s a great time to gather and share tea and snacks while we chat about whatever is on your heart or mind. It is a place where we can talk about the deep things of life and faith (or whatever). We continue to build friendships as we create a safe space for all to feel welcome and loved!

On Wednesdays, a dozen of us gather to pursue God in worship and the study of the Word. We just finished digging into the Sermon on the Mount and rediscovering upside-down kingdom perspectives foundational to the early church. Jesus is an amazing teacher, and we love to learn from Him! It has been great gathering with other adventurers as we study and discuss Scripture on a journey deeper into the heart of God for our families, this city, our nation, and the world!

We are also excited to announce the launch of Tucson Student Ministries. This is a peer-to-peer ministry that uses performing arts, conversations, and connections to provide knowledge of healthy life choices to the students of Tucson.

We are so thankful for your love, support, prayers, and friendship. We are grateful to partner together with you in the upside-down kingdom work God is doing in our midst.

Please join us as we pray for

  • wisdom for the next steps in ministry as we grow and learn
  • spirit-filled musicians to partner with us in bringing live worship to our little group
  • healing for several group members with health challenges (heart issues, autoimmune issues, and chronic pain to name the most pressing)

We’d love to hear how we can pray for you too!

We are still raising monthly support. If you would like to partner financially, here are some ways you can join us:

  • Donate tax-deductable online by pressing the “Donate” button below or clicking here.
  • Send tax-deductable donations by check. Make payable to Equipnet, write Equip3543 in the memo line, and mail to Equipnet, PO Box 860 Alamo, CA 94507

We love what God is doing in and through you as we partner together in this ministry!

Be Blessed!
Jason and Catherine Anderson
